A Neighborhood Guide To

Parkland

Overview

The one single trait that sets this community apart from the others is the fact that it is 100% residential. Churches, schools, and a firehall are the only non residential structures in the community!

Established in 1974, Parkland is a suburban community in southeast Calgary. It’s bordered by Canyon Meadows Drive to the north, by Bow Bottom Trail to the east and west by Fish Creek Provincial Park. Enamoured by superb community overlooking thru the Deer Ridge and Deer Run, the whole community is girdled by green spaces and parks. Another attraction for residents is the Fish Creek Park which provides different outdoor activities.

Bordered by Fish Creek Provincial Park, Parkland boasts panoramic views of Bow River, winding trails, meadows, and mature trees. The community is tranquil and tucked away, but has access to all kinds of daily amenities thanks to neighbouring communities like Deer Ridge and Lake Bonavista.

Parkland is a family-friendly area quietly tucked away from the city bustle but within a short drive of schooling, dining, entertainment, and shopping destinations. Nearby access to Macleod Trail makes commuting around Calgary a breeze.
