Overview

Deer Ridge is Calgary’s largest green belt as it is enveloped in Fish Creek Provincial Park. During 1960, the area in Fish Creek, Deer Ridge’s eastern part was completely privately owned, until some developer bought parts of the land. In 1973, Peter Lougheed established Fish Creek Park and set the stage for other developers in establishing nearby areas including Deer Ridge. The community mostly comprises of apartment, condos and townhouses.
